Roaming Tips Selecting A GSM Network When Abroad With your GSM handset, you can select your roaming network either automatically or manually. In most cases, the default setting is automatic and connects your phone to the strongest partner network signal within reach. As you move, the handset will continuously monitor the available networks and keep you connected to the strongest one. In manual selection settings, your GSM handset will detect the available networks and offer you the choice to select. Once selected, the chosen network will be considered as your preferred one. Barring all incoming calls (BAIC) while roaming allows you to control your expenses using a 4-digit barring password. The default barring password is 0000 and we strongly recommend you change it.
