Al Riyadi Basketball team offers Its regional win to mtc touch
Beirut, February 22nd, 2008: Within the long-term partnership joining Lebanon’s leading mobile telecommunication operator, mtc touch and renowned Al Riyadi Basketball Club, President Hisham Jaroudi paid Mr. Claude Bassil, the General Manager of mtc touch, a friendly visit along with coach Fouad Abou Chakra, members of the board Mr. Tamman Jaroudi and Mohamed Chaker, as well as Al Riyadi team players following their latest win of Dubai 19th International Championship, held during the month of January 2008.

For the occasion, Mr. Bassil congratulated the players, expressing his deepest belief in the capacities of such a prestigious club. He said: “Al Riyadi Basketball team has always provided youth with great opportunities, devoting its competency and expertise to serve the best interest of Sports. The team has always shown one of Lebanon most honorable and respected facets whether locally, regionally or even internationally. Indeed, Al Riyadi’ s history is living proof of its role as a pillar to Lebanese sports, which makes us proud of being its main sponsor especially that the team has been worthy of recognition and reward due to its numerous accomplishments and consecutive achieved titles including the latest Dubai International Championship”.

From his end, Mr. Hisham Jaroudi, President of Al Riyadi Club said: “For the fourth consecutive year, we pride on this strategic partnership with mtc touch, a company embracing the Lebanese youth and encouraging them to develop their talents. Because of its continuous support, we were able to achieve many winnings, that is why we would like to thank General Manager Bassil and mtc touch who always encouraged Lebanese to gather under one unified Lebanese flag”.

During the visit and in a remarkable initiative, Al Riyadi players offered the Tournament’s trophy in addition to a team’s t-shirt to General Manager Bassil as a sign of gratitude and appreciation to their main sponsor, thus reaffirming the unbreakable bond between the two parties. In this context, coach Fouad Abou Chakra added: “we thank Mr. Claude Bassil for believing in Al Riyadi Club and we seize the chance to renew our bonds with mtc touch, thus paving the way for new achievements”.

Bassil added: “mtc touch widely encourages Sports and supports talents such as Al Riyadi which has been proving year after year its possession of remarkable know-how - highly praised by fans - and its ability to assume the great national responsibility to represent Lebanon abroad”.
