BlackBerry Tariffs Reduction mtc touch starts applying reduced BlackBerry service rates. Monthly subscription decreased from US$40 to US$27 while the consumption doubled to 200MB Beirut, October 3rd, 2011: mtc touch, the leading mobile telecommunications operator in Lebanon and Zain affiliate, has started applying the BlackBerry Service reduced tariffs as announced by the Ministry of Telecommunications, as of October 1st, 2011. As such, the monthly subscription fee to the BlackBerry Internet Service for individual users has been reduced by 32% from USD 40 to USD 27 for both postpaid touch lines and prepaid magic lines. As for the monthly subscription fee to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server service for corporate users, it has decreased by 36% from USD 36 to USD 23. In addition to the subscription fees reduction, both mtc touch individual and corporate customers will benefit from double the consumption capacity going up from 100 MB to 200 MB a month; bearing in mind that the cost of an additional MB has been also cut to half reaching US$0.5. The weekly subscription fee for prepaid Super, Smart and Start lines holders has decreased from USD 7.13 to USD 5 with a weekly consumption capacity of 45 MB. “mtc touch has witnessed an increase of 10% on prepaid BlackBerry subscriptions within only 3 days of the newly announced rates,” declared Nadim Khater the Chief Commercial Officer at mtc touch. Adding: “We expect more customers to subscribe to the BlackBerry service in the next few days due to the considerable decrease in prices”. |
