BlackBerry® mtc touch, EMS and RIM launch the BlackBerry solution in Lebanon Beirut, Lebanon, and Waterloo, Canada: mtc touch - a Zain group subsidiary -,EMS, and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) announced today the launch of the BlackBerry® solution in Lebanon for all corporate and individual customers holding "touch" postpaid lines. The announcement came during a press conference held at the Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel under the high patronage of the Minister of Telecommunications, Engineer Gebran Bassil, with the support of the Embassy of Canada in Lebanon. Among the attendees were HE Mr Martial Pagé, the Ambassador of Canada in Lebanon, in addition to several officials and key media figures.
The BlackBerry solution offered by mtc touch in Lebanon is many things in one: a mobile office in one’s pocket, the ability to be contactable virtually anywhere, a great way to stay in control of one’s life and get a lot of things done on the go. This includes push email, SMS/MMS, Instant Messaging, Organizer, Internet/Intranet Browsing, Phone, Business Applications, and more.
Speaking at the press conference, Chief Commercial Officer at mtc touch, Mr. Nadim Khater, highlighted that “the company has exerted all necessary efforts, collaborating with RIM and EMS, to quickly deploy the BlackBerry solution, in response to individual and corporate requests of having a simple, convenient, low cost system connecting them to their email and the internet on-the-go, both locally and abroad.”
